Educated in Italy at L'Accademia Di Belle Arti in Florence during the years 1983-87

and resident in Italy for the following ten years.

Christel Jönsson has had exhibitions in Italy and in Sweden, in Italy among others at Casa Massaccio in Val D'Arno, Castello Di Panzano in Chianti and Centro Internazionale Di Brera in Milan. In Sweden, there have been more than a dozen solo exhibitions at galleries Argo and Eva Solvang in Stockholm, at Malmö Museum, Karlskrona art gallery and at Pumphuset art gallery in Landskrona.

Participation in various collective exhibitions has been on about twenty occasions, including at Vikingsbergs Art Museum in Helsingborg, Krapperup Art Hall's "Autumn Salon", Höganäs, Bomässan in Malmö, Landskrona Art Hall, Affordable Art in Stockholm and Nordic Salon at Dunkers Kulturhus in Helsingborg.

Christel Jönsson also performs "Performance", which happened on about ten occasions in various places and under titles such as "Primo", "Etyd", "Synlikt", "Silenzio", "Terra Pax", "Fire" and "Scräfürsten", the most recently at Henry Dunker's place in Helsingborg (2003).

Public purchases of Christel Jönsson's work have been made by, among others, the Malmö Art Museum, the State Art Council, Helsingborg Museum, Malmöhus County and Stockholm County Council, the City of Stockholm and Höganäs Municipality.
