Educated at Östra Grevies Folkhögskola's esthete line (1988-90), graphic variant and at Forum's graphics school 1990-95 (evening courses).

Trained in watercolor painting for Arne Isacsson and Hasse Karlsson and participated in painting academies in Greece (Makrinitza, Santorini) and in Spain, Muros in Galicia.

Johan Ramberg has done about ten solo exhibitions, participated in a number of jury-judged exhibitions, among others at the "National Watercolor Salon" at Edsviks Konsthall in 2009, and participated in about ten group exhibitions, among other things, at Galleri Pictor's Spring Salon in 2003.

Has published the books "Akvarell" and "Drawing" on his own publishing house.

Works mainly in watercolor. Participated in Galleri Pictor's "Midsummer exhibition" in 2012 and exhibited separately together with the glass artist Betina Huber in 2014.
