Laura Boswell

Graphic artist (Printmaker) with linoleum cut and Japanese woodcut as method. Also works in enamel.



Living in the small southern Scottish town of Kirkcudbright since 2022 after a move from the English countryside in the county of Buckinghamshire. Mainly works with graphics but has also made a number of larger decorative objects in enamel for the public space. Her graphic methods are linoleum cuts and Japanese woodcuts from the so-called Edo period.



Laura Boswell is educated at Harrow College of Higher Education and the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and level four at PTLLS 1983-1987 and 2011.



She has studied Japanese woodcut technique as "artist in residence" in Japan at Nagasawa Art Park in 2009 and 2013.



She has had solo exhibitions at various galleries in London, Margate, Stoke Mandeville, Oxford and other places and as a specially invited exhibitor at Printfest in Ulveston, Cumbria.

Laura Boswell is a monthly columnist for the magazine "Artist and Illustrators Magazine" and teaches at Oxford Summer School and Milton Keynes Arts Centre.


Laura Boswell is represented at the National Print Collection of Wales, Nagasawa Art Park Collection and MI-Lab Mokuhanga Print Collection in Japan, Buckingham County Museum and the House of Lords.
