Ronald Julius Christensen

1923-1999

b. Houghs' Neck, Boston MA.

Painter and graphic artist.

 

Educated at the School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston. Worked as one of the participants in the Art in Industry project in the 50s in the USA. Was active in New York in the 60s and 70s and then moved to Naples, Florida.



He had 75 solo exhibitions in galleries and institutions around the United States beginning at The Little Gallery in Louisville, Kentucky in 1953 and his last exhibition at the Harmon-Meek Gallery in Naples, Florida in 1993. He is represented in about 30 museums and public institutions in USA including Columbia Museum of Art, Missouri, Daytona Museum of Art, Daytona Beach, Florida, John F Kennedy Library & Museum in Boston, Portland Art Museum and Smithsonian Institute in Washington. But he is also represented in Europe at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Holland.
